Poem Of The Month
The stars woke up,
stretched,
yawn
and got into position,
forming the Big Dipper.
They took a big scoop,
pouring night all over me.
I was covered
from head to toe
with the whole of space…
nebulas, galaxies,
planets, and moons,
comets and asteroids,
even a black hole
right near my toes.
Dare I say it…
I need a bath.
I have stardust
all over my hair
and face,
tickling my nose,
making me sneeze.
I washed myself off,
but I couldn’t get
the stardust out of my eyes.
Now, even when the sun is out,
shining bright,
I still see the stars
in the night.
